Problem-solving sessions
For people facing a complex, tangled, or long-standing problem that seems difficult to resolve from inside the situation.
For: Solving specific, complex problems.
What is it?
When we’re stuck in a problem, we often need someone else to see what we can’t. Problem-solving sessions provide exactly that, through a structured process.
The session breaks the problem into its parts, identifies gaps in logic and emotional distortions, and maps how the different parts connect. Problem-solving frameworks then generate possible solutions and reveal which options were missed, ignored, or discarded—and why.
Who this is for:
This is for you if you have a complex, tangled or long-standing problem that seems impossible to solve from inside it.
Sessions
All sessions are Virtual (zoom or equivalent)
1. Initial Session — 45 min, €45
This is a pilot session, after which you can decide whether this type of work is right for you. It also gives me a chance to see whether I can help and, if so, propose a path forward.
What happens during the session: This is mainly an open conversation about the issues you’re bringing. You describe your situation, I ask clarifying questions. I’ll flag anything that stands out — gaps, inconsistencies, unexamined perspectives, and possible solutions you hadn’t considered.
What you walk away with:
- The first map of the problem (my session notes).
- A clear path forward, with a proposed type and number of sessions where applicable
- Problem frameworks to read for free
Structure:
- €45 for a 45 minutes session
- Includes a breakdown of the problem (my session notes).
2. Problem Solving Sessions — 60 min, €70
What happens during the sessions:
After the initial mapping, we work through the problem using the problem-solving framework. We separate tangled problems by their negative consequences, break them into components, and map possible solutions, ranking them by what they solve. We then turn the chosen solutions into clear, step-by-step actions that address the problem and move toward future goals.
What you walk away with:
- A breakdown of the situation and how its different parts connect
- A concrete, one-step-at-a-time action list
- A breakdown of the best possible solutions
- A copy of the problem-solving framework
Structure:
- 60 min · €70/session or €300/5 sessions
- Maximum 15 sessions

Articles used in these sessions
Three Perspectives Method. Uncovering Blind Spots
A method for uncovering our blind spots in all the situations where we keep doing the right thing but still get the wrong result, so we can figure out what actually needs to change.
Problem Solving 2 - How to Actually Solve a Problem.
A step-by-step method for solving problems by working on expectations and negative consequences instead of the gap, with a fully worked company example.
Problem Solving 1 - What a Problem Actually Is
The article breaks down the working definition of a problem into three components: expectation, gap, and subjectively perceived negative consequence. It also explains why bridging the gap alone is rarely the whole solution.
