Belief system analysis and training
For people whose beliefs or assumptions limit what they can do, consider, or imagine changing.
For: Recognizing, mapping and changing deeply rooted beliefs that block change.
What is it?
Most approaches to changing beliefs treat them as a blindness problem: people simply need to be shown the truth. But nobody holds a belief for decades because they missed something obvious. They have evidence that the belief is true—the belief itself produces that evidence.
This method figures out what the function of the belief is, how it works, how it developed, and exactly how the person helps maintain it.
Training is not about proving the belief wrong, but exposing the logic that maintains it, so the person can see for themselves how they manufacture the evidence.
Who this is for:
This is for you if a belief (or a set of beliefs) you hold makes it impossible to change or approach life differently.
Sessions
All sessions are Virtual (zoom or equivalent)
1. Initial Session — 45 min, €45
This is a pilot session, after which you can decide whether this type of work is right for you. It also gives me a chance to see whether I can help and, if so, propose a path forward.
What happens during the session: This is mostly an open conversation around your beliefs, convictions, and view of the world, and how they influence your life. You describe your situation, I ask clarifying questions, and together we build an initial picture of what’s going on.
What you walk away with:
- The first map of the belief and the system around it (my session notes)
- A clear path forward, with a proposed type and number of sessions where applicable
- A list of relevant frameworks to read for free
Structure:
- €45 for a 45 minutes session
- Includes the pattern map—my notes from the session in the form of a diagram.
2. Analysis Sessions — 60 min, €70
These sessions map how a belief operates within the whole system. We start by making the belief explicit, then trace where it came from—what was observed and from whom. We look at what the belief does now, and whether that function has changed over time. Then we map the behaviors and blind spots that reinforce it and create confirming evidence. Finally, we look at what keeps the belief in place: flawed logic, generalizations, and leaps.
Structure:
- 60-minute sessions
- €70 or €300 for a 5-session package
3. Training Sessions — 45 min, €60
Training does not address only the belief—it also addresses the whole system around it.
Track 1 — the belief: You learn to observe yourself manufacturing evidence for it—and to provoke this on purpose in low-stakes situations, so you can see yourself doing it. We use challenges and written experiments to gather data about your own beliefs that cannot easily be dismissed. Throughout, you observe exactly how the belief produces its own confirming evidence and keeps itself alive.
Track 2 — the system around it: What needs to be worked on depends on the particular belief. Generally, Track 2 focuses on emotions that guard beliefs, self-worth contamination, and uncertainty intolerance.
Structure:
- 45-minute sessions
- €60 or €260 for a 5-session package
